Tidligere var det kun nogle f\u00e5 mennesker, der kunne v\u00e6kke denne indre spirituelle energi gennem anstrengende renselse og askese.<\/h4>\n<p>Shri Mataji opdagede en spontan metode til at v\u00e6kke denne energi en masse, som ikke kr\u00e6ver forudg\u00e5ende viden eller spirituel praksis. Navnet p\u00e5 denne opv\u00e5gning er selvrealisering. Denne spontane opv\u00e5gning kan derefter let videregives til andre uden at man skulle betale for det eller studere det for at f\u00e5 et diplom eller blive en discipel. Man kunne sammenligne dette f\u00e6nomen med et lys, der er blevet t\u00e6ndt og derefter kan t\u00e6nde et andet lys.<\/p>\n<p>Shri Mataji forklarer, at meditation uden selvrealisering er som at fors\u00f8ge at k\u00f8re en bil uden at starte motoren. Man kommer ingen steder ved blot at dreje p\u00e5 rattet eller trykke p\u00e5 speederen.
