Experience Your Self-realization

Experience Your Self-realization

You Only Need a Pure Desire

It is everyone’s right to achieve this state of one’s evolution and everything necessary is already inbuilt. But as I respect your freedom, you have to have the desire to achieve this state, it cannot be forced upon you.

Shri Mataji is the only spiritual Guru in the history of mankind who has given the experience of en-masse self-realization worldwide in thousands of her public programs. Millions have benefited from this unique experience that has become a turning point in their lives. Seekers attending the programs would experience their self-realization as complete inner silence, relaxed state of physical being and often a warm or cool breeze on the palms of the hand and sometimes over the entire body.

The following steps will help you to prepare for the self-realization experience. Sit comfortably with your back straight, taking off your shoes might also help since the Mother Earth sucks all negative energies through our feet.

Place both your hands on your lap with palms open upwards. To settle down your wandering attention you can watch the picture of Shri Mataji on the screen. Once you have settled down peacefully within yourself try to watch your thoughts.

If you experience a complete inner silence and perhaps feel a gentle cool breeze blowing through your palms or on your head over the area of the fontanel, know that you are a realized soul and that you have innately actualized your self-realization. This is a very good start and the further steps will help you to deepen your meditation experience.

Although it is very rare that some people have experienced their complete self-realization in front of Shri Mataji or her photograph, it is beneficial to use the guided meditation for self-realization that Shri Mataji has demonstrated over a thousand times throughout the world.

In order to follow the guided meditation with Shri Mataji in the accompanying video, it would be helpful to familiarize yourself with the steps as you will be doing the entire exercise with your eyes closed. Closing our eyes helps us to experience more deeply our self-realization and the meditative state that immediately follows. You can carefully study the sequence of illustrations and text below to determine the correct position of the hand on your body which Shri Mataji will guide you to in the Self-realization exercise, together with the affirmations for each position.

Throughout the entire self-realization session, we will place the right hand on the centers along the left side and keep the palm of the left hand open as shown in the following sketches.

Now, at the end of the guided meditation, notice whether you feel relaxed and whether your thoughts have calmed down or gradually disappeared. This is the first state of meditation – thoughtless awareness. It is a state of pure and peaceful awareness of yourself and your surroundings.

Now see if you can feel a sensation of a gentle cool breeze on your palms and above your head over the fontanel bone area. It might be warm in the beginning which is a sign that your Kundalini energy is purifying your subtle system, but it will eventually cool down. You can verify it by placing your left palm slightly above your head, then trying with the right palm.

If you are not able to feel it, it can be for a number of reasons. One of the most common is that we are not able to forgive. It may help if you say from your heart, "Mother (or if you prefer to say Shri Mataji), I forgive everyone" a few times and check again if you feel the cool breeze above your head.

This is the beginning of your inner journey into a new realm of eternal spiritual existence, which you can now explore in complete peace and harmony. By maintaining this new awareness through regular meditation, you will be able to feel the state of your own subtle system as well as that of other people on your fingertips and correct them with your own innate spiritual energy (Kundalini).
